Kries just finished his new SF1.80 TDM and ES map which also includes some new texture that he made.
This is a nicely done map with lots of small details and various routes, only downside is that you cannot enter the houses.

SF1.75
SF Trailer

After spending many hours on servers, with several players, directing and filming, Phoenix just released his SF action trailer.
Its 1min 33sec in lenght and 5.73Mb in size this however places it on the lower quality side and thats actually to bad because its editted really well, music works really nice and its filled with good SF action.

Lets hope that a better and sharper version will be available soon.

March 11th 2002 - itseAdmin: A new SF server admin tool

itse_Muhaarja is improving his new itseAdmin mutator, at first it was supposed to be make admin commands a little easier then the UT admin commands.
When itseAdmin is installed you can change the number of rounds simply by writing "mutate rounds 7" in the console instead of the old UT command "admin set SFGame.SFTeamDM Rounds 7".

In the newest beta version a booking option has been included and is utilized by logging onto a booking system on  the web and then choosing the configuration you want to use along with the time and date the server should be booked on.
itseAdmin looks for booknings every 30 minutes and if any are found they will be downloade onto the the server. 15 minutes before the is booked the server restarts with the new settings (gamepass, adminpass, etc) when the booking time has run out the server restores the default settings.

March 4th 2002 - Test weekend

SF1.75
News

Its been a hard weekend for the beta testers:
RC1 was released early Saturday morning and was testet twice later in the evening.
RC2 was released as a small update Sunday around noon.
RC3 was released  earlier tonight and so far the beta team has uptil now only found minor bugs that have no effect on gameplay

SF Dev Team is currently looking for someone to help them making a LiNUX and a MAC build.
So all in all it looks like StrikeForce 1.75 is very close to being released.

March 2nd 2002 - SF Texture converter by Photon Man

Photon Man made a nice little program that finds all the textures a pre SF1.75 map uses and changes the texture pack names to make them compatible with the SF1.75 texture packs.

Using this program the full release size of SF1.75 with 10 maps will be under 110Mb. Which should make it more appealing for FPS players to download and try out StrikeForce. Also gaming magazines will have less trouble putting it on their cover CDs.

The official map packs that will follow in the wake of SF1.75 will also be made with this programme thus making them smaller and less time consuming to make.
