The new AK47 models have been released and the result is really nice. Theres two models one with a silencer and one without.

January 27th 2002  - SF1.75 IR2

One of the new features in IR2 is the new first person muzzle flash.
Opti is not copmpletly happy with the fact that some weapons use the same muzzle flash texture,
so if theres time expect to see some new muzzle flashes on some of the weapons.

January 26th 2002 - SF1.75 IR2

Brad finished SF1.75 IR2 and Optimizer released it to the beta testers. Once the IR has been tested and the bugs removed theres only a few things that needs to be done before the release of SF1.75

Here the list of changes IR2:

Characters have a +5 speed increase.
Headshot zone decreased.
Bots allowed in Hostage Rescue and Escape game types.
Hostage Rescue and Escape can now be played in singleplayer.
New Muzzle Flashes.
Colt M203 has been removed.
New Inventory look.
Inventory bug has been fixed.
Colt M4 has been removed from terrorists inventory.
AK47 now has same stats as Colt M4
New gametype (Assault).
Tracer fire has been tweaked.
Clipping turned back on.
Stamina system tweaked.
New SF Map/Kick vote by BDB included.

Acording to Opti SF1.75 IR2 will be released for beta testing sometime this weekend and shortly there after the release of the final version should be close.

Clipping is fixed and turned on by default.
Map/Kick vote included.
Inventory bug has been fixed.
And finaly "Silverfisken" got his way and the Claymore mine will now be green instead of the easy to spot white.

A new version of the inventory has been released and this time it has a more military look.
Using the new inventory is a little more difficult as the buttons has been move out to the side. But this should get easier and save some time when the colors get changed (green=ready)

StrikeForce 1.75 IR1 has been released to the beta team for testing and heres the changes and tweaks for this release:
1) Headshot location tweaked.
2) M203 removed from code.
3) Brand new inventory screen. (see screenshot)
4) M4 removed from terroist team and balanced out AK47 so it competes with M4 on SF team.
5) Grenade tweaked to make players fly higher into the air when killed. (see screenshot)
6) Tweaked 12 of the current weapons. Accuracy, fire modes, rof, aim time, reload time and several other settings tweaked.
7) All characters have been tweaked and now have different height, varied speed, different health depending on the type of weapon they are specialiced in.

The area that counts as a headshot will be reduced to the top 15& of the players model instead of the current top 40%.

The plan is still to remove the M203 if it cant be balanced out a bit more fx. by making the blast radius of the grenades smaller, making it heavier or by making it shoot teargas instead of grenades.

Optimizer is currently working on making the characters in StrikeForce different. Each character will have varied speed, accuracy, health, height, etc. fx. some guys will be very accurate but will move a little slower and have less health. Others will be less accurate but move faster with more health. 
There will be configured eight different characters which then will have there "skills" copied onto the other teams eight characters. This should match up the teams perfectly.

The weapons will also be tweaked both recoil and rate of fire (ROF) will be looked at and the aimtime for smaller and lighter weapons will be shortend.

Brad and Threaders is working hard to finish the new inventory graphics which should look much better then the current green inventory.

Also Brad has tweaked the way characters die when they get killed by an explosion they will get thrown higher up into the air then before.

Also a small option for server admins to turn clipping on or off will be included fx. if they get to many complaints about lag they can turn it off. It will also be possible to see if a server has it on or off befor you join.

January 2nd 2002  - New statistics mutator for Strikeforce

"Murhaaja" from the Finnish "itse" clan has made a statistics mutator for Strikeforce. This server side mutator sends stats to a database after each map. Acording to "Murhaaja" the mutator is almost finished, and soon he will start to develop more features for the stats pages.

If youre a server administrator, or know one, then contact "Murhaaja" or read this to get servers added. The -=:: Fantasia ::=- server has been added and will soon start to report stats to the site.

Its planned to have the much debated Colt M203 removed from the next version of StrikeForce and it will not be brought back until it can be weakend (without making it useless) or making it a reward for skilled play.

StrikefForce won gold and bronze at this years mod awards at Planete Mods.

First place together with Tactical Ops was won in the category UT Mod of the Year


Third place just below Counter-Strike og Day of Defeat was won in the category English Mod of the Year
